Honey Bee and Columbine Flower (Nectar)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This honey bee can reach the pollen from below the flowers. Honey bee tongues and not long enough to reach the nectar from this point (sse my previous post), but they have  helpers. Other insects as some bubble bees with stonger mandibulas are able to chew a hole in the nectar spur. in this way the nectar storage is open for honey bees as well!
