We had a few very cold and snowing days after Christmas; it’s during this period that the colors disappears, but thanks a modern water fountains the towns gets an incredible attraction: the “iced” Tinguely Fountain. A place really worth to visit!
The Tinguely Fountain also called Tinguely Brunne had been created in 1977 by Jean Tinguely in a shallow fountain consisting of a series of individually moving water-pipes. In this way the gifted Basel (Switzerland) got a famous and very popular new landmark in front of Stadttheater (Steinenberg / Theaterstrasse).
Especially in winter, these sculptures are very nice and impressive thanks the freezing water modelling new kinetic sculptures.
